Through the Decades July 11

On July 11, Bill Kurtis of Through the Decades turns the lens of time back to 1922 when the Hollywood Bowl first opened its doors. Ellee Pai Hong explores the history surrounding Alexander Hamilton on the day in 1804 he was shot in a duel by his rival, Aaron Burr. Kerry Sayers recalls when the International Whaling Commission issued a moratorium on commercial whaling in 1979, and Bill revisits the day in 1985 that Coca-Cola shocked the world by announcing a change to their secret formula. Kerry goes back to 1960, when Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird was published which would go on to win a Pulitzer Prize. To close, Ellee profiles fashion designer Giorgio Armani.
